Switch
particle node
Switches between input streams.
This operator passes through one of its input streams based on the Select Input parameter. This is very useful for controlling/animating the network flow using an expression. For example, by making the input value a function of time, you can cause different particle behaviors at different times in the animation.
Parameters
|
Select Input |
Input number to pass through to the output. Use an expression here to programmatically switch the network flow. The inputs are numbered consecutively from 0 to N-1 (where N is the number of inputs to the POP). Use |
Local variables
Standard POP local variables
|
AGE |
The seconds a particle in the template has been alive. |
|

Point is dead. |
|
ITER |
Processing iteration number. |
|
JUSTHIT |
A collision for this particle was detected (for example, by the Collision POP) during the processing of this timestep (that is, this iteration of the particle simulation). This variable is cleared at the beginning of each timestep. Note that the collision POP actually detects any collisions which would have occurred the during the previous frame. |
