Polygon tab

Tools on the Polygon tab let you modify polygons in the scene view.

Subtopics

Clear

  • Removes geometry on one side of a plane.
  • Deletes points, primitives, and edges from the input geometry and repairs any holes left behind.
  • Collapses edges and faces to their centerpoints.
  • Sharpens edges by making their points unique and recomputing the point normals.
  • Inserts more points the edges of polygons.
  • Flips the direction of polygon edges.
  • Creates a loop of cuts using polysplit.
  • Controls the smoothness of faceting of a surface.
  • Merges points together.
  • Drag a line to divide, delete, or group geometry.
  • Bevels points and edges of polygonal geometry to create a smoother look.
  • Fills in polygons between boundary edges.
  • Allows you to extrude and scale, rotate, translate, and/or inset polygonal faces and edges.
  • Creates new polygons to join existing polygons.
  • Reduces the number of polygons in a model while attempting to preserve its shape as much as possible.
  • Divides existing polygons into new multiple polygons.
  • Smooths out polygons, meshes, and curves without increasing the number of points.
  • Subdivides polygons into smoother, higher-resolution polygons.
