| Why can’t I use the right Alt key? | Some Linux desktop environments re-map the ALT keys. If you are using a GNOME desktop, go to System > Preferences > Keyboard, expand the GroupShift/Lock behavior section and look for options that may be altering your right ALT key. In particular, “R-Alt switches group while pressed.” “Right Alt key changes group.” “Both Alt keys together change group.” Turn these options of and restart Houdini. See if that helps. You may want to quickly scan through all the Layout Options to see if any other keys are being re-mapped as well. |
