Overview
These properties control viewport display of objects. They are in the Viewport folder in the list of properties available under the For rendering tab of the Edit parameter interface window. Select a node, and in the parameter editor click the
Gear menu and choose Edit rendering properties to add or remove properties to a render driver, camera, object, shader, or properties node.
Properties
Camera/light properties
- clear
The amount to clear the viewport. This allows for pseudo motion blur, ghosting, and other feedback effects.
- vcomment
When you attach this property to a camera or light, the comment you set appears in the upper left corner of the viewport when you're looking through the camera/light. This can be useful to document cameras and lights for artists.
Fog properties
- fog
OpenGL fog style. This may be one of
off– No fog.linear– Linear fog.exp– Exponential fog.exp2– Squared exponential fog.
- fogdensity
The density of the fog.
- fogcolor
The color of the fog.
- fogalpha
The alpha of the fog.
- fognear
Where the fog begins.
- fogfar
Where the fog reaches its maximum effect.
Mask properties
- maskaspect
The aspect of the viewport mask.
- maskopacity
The opacity of the viewport mask.
- maskoverlay
The SOP which specifies the geometry to for the mask overlay.
Rotoscope properties
- rotofile
Disk file for roto image.
- overridesize
Enable override for disk file size.
- filesize
Disk file size.
- coppath
Path to COP for roto image.
- copframe
Frame at which to evaluate COP.
- copcolor
The name of the COP’s color plane.
- copalpha
Name of the COP’s alpha plane.
- trackwin
Apply camera zoom to roto image.
Light properties
- ogl_enablelight
Allows the light to be disabled or active in the viewport.
Output driver properties
- soho_viewport_menu
Attach this property to a SOHO render driver to control whether it appears in the viewport render menu.
Geometry properties
- vport_promote_popguides
Show particle guide geometry from the display Popnet SOP, if any, at the object level.
