Reselect geometry
In Houdini you can not only edit the parameters of a surface node, you can reselect the geometry the operation applies to.
Select an existing surface node.

You can select the node in the viewer with the
Select tool in compoent mode (optionally using PgUp and PgDn to move through the node history), or you can select the node directly in the network editor. If you just used a tool that created a surface node, such as
Poly Extrude, the node is selected, so you can immediately reselect geometry if you made a mistake.Right-click the
Select tool and choose Reselect for current tool, or press ` (the backtick).
Select the components you want the operation to apply to.

This is just like using the tool the first time, but it saves any parameter changes you've made. So, if the tool/node requires multi-step selections, you’ll need to make multi-step selections when you reselect.
When you press Enter to confirm the selection, the node updates to use the new selection.

(Note that you can also repeat the last tool without changing the current node by pressing Q.)
