What’s new in Houdini 9: Parameter Interface
Houdini 9 provides new parameter interface enhancements.
Parameter Interface Enhancements
Houdini 9 introduces new parameter interface enhancements that will grant users great freedom in customizing nodes and creating more efficient workflows.
Users will now be able to add new parameters to any node, import parameters from other nodes, and add rendering properties.
Quick Start
In the parameter editor of a node, click the
gear button.Select Edit Parameter Interface from the drop-down menu.
To... Do this Add a new parameter to a node
On the By Type tab of the Create Parameters pane, select a parameter from the list, and click the
Add button.Import a parameter from another node
On the From Nodes tab of the Create Parameters pane, select a parameter from the list of existing nodes, and click the
Add button.Add rendering properties
On the For Rendering tab of the Create Parameters pane, select a render property from the list, and click the
Add button.Remove a parameter
Select the parameter you want to remove and click the
Remove button.Reset existing parameters to its default values
Click the Discard button.
You can also edit fields in the the Parameter Description pane for each parameter to further customize your node.
