RBD Object

Creates an RBD Object from SOP Geometry.

This tool creates an rigid body dynamic object for simulation. It creates a new dynamic object and attaches the subdata required for it to be a properly conforming RBD Object.

Using RBD Objects

  1. Click the RBD Object button on the Rigid Bodies tab.

  2. Select the geometry to convert to an RBD object and press Enter to confirm your selection.

Note

Once you convert geometry to an RBD object you can only transform, rotate, and scale it when it is on the first frame.

Switching to the dynamics level

  1. Click the Dynamics Select Mode button on the selector and handle controls toolbar.

  2. Click LMB the RBD object in the scene view.
