Torus

Creates a torus (doughnut) shaped surface.

Placing a Torus in the viewer

To...Do this

Place the torus anywhere in the scene

  1. Click the Torus button on the Create tab.

  2. Move the cursor into the scene view.

    Note

    You can hold Alt to detach the torus from the construction plane.

  3. Click LMB to place the torus anywhere in the scene view.

    If you press Enter without clicking, Houdini places the torus at the origin.

Press Ctrl + LMB on the Torus button on the shelf.

Torus Handles

There are special handles available at the geometry level for the torus object that allow you to change the radius.

  1. Create a torus object.

  2. Move to the geometry level by double clicking LMB the torus node in the network editor or by clicking the Jump to Operator button on the operation controls toolbar.

  3. Drag the handles to change the radii of the torus.

Drag the red handle.

Change the radius of the cross section

Drag the green handle.
