Waveform
surface node
Creates a waveform shape out of surface geometry
See also: Finalize Waves
This operator is used to generate a wave shape oriented in the XZ-plane. The orientation and shape of the wave can be controlled directly, while the waveform’s resolution corresponds to the detail of the geometry to which it is applied.
A wave created by this operator can be used to create a moving wave in a Particle Fluid. To make this possible, enable Output Wave Velocity Attributes and perform a Finalize Waves operation on the object containing the wave.
