Hiya!
Just wondering if there is such a thing as a temporary pivot in Houdini.
I've kinda missed this tool a few times and the perfect example arised the other day so I thought I'd post it with the question.
I just wanted to rotate the jaw of this model in one hit by moving the rotation pivot rather than rotate then move.
Thanks,
Pete
Is there a temporary pivot for modeling?

Hit the single quote ‘ key and it detaches the handle from the geometry. Position your handle by hitting “T” then when in position, hit “R” again and rotate on the temporary pivot.
You can RMB (RightMouseButton) on any handle component in the viewport to get a menu. You can see all the available options on the handle including the toggle “Attach to Geometry” with the ’ single quote hot-key.

If you want to affect the actual pivot parameters, choose the RMB menu option “Pivot Mode” or Shift-" double quote or Insert hotkeys. Now positioning the handle will affect the pivot channels if there are any on the node you are affecting.
