This would have been my original post-title “Animated/deformed object - fractured en rdb-ed shards which get attracted back in original position - converted to high viscous flip object”.
But what says it better then a sketch to explain the effect i am looking for:
I am relatively new to Houdini but digging hard in the tutorials. I am acquainted with quite some concepts but prone to make a big, inefficient mess out of it.
Regarding the aimed effect I have two questions:
- what is in h-concepts roughly the right way to follow. I can then read the documentation and try to figure out the details
- More specific: If i fracture a deformed object, can I later on let the shards be attracted back to their relative original position and rotation (within the deformation (or alembic))
- Even more specific: how would one attract to point/rdb positions which lie in the future (say 2/3 frames? In my sketch the shards are attracted to the animated path the normal geometry would follow only they sort of travel ahead.
I would greatly appreciate some thoughts on this subject and gladly share my progress/results/loads of new questions
