Tutorial SC004-Particle Fun - no subsurface scatter in render

I've gone thru Neils Prayer SC004 tutorial

several times, and checked all my settings, but still am not getting the sub surface scattering to show up in my render. Attached are 2 images and my .hipnc file. One image with the blue to pink gradation is how it SHOULD look with SSS.

dont know what shader you used. i did quick test and used prebuild mantra shader and enabled sss and it works fine, with your shader doesnt show any sss.
