We glady welcome submissions from established artists as well as as students who would like o share their work with the rest of the community. Side Effects will consider all artwork that uses Houdini in whole, or in part for the gallery. Submissions rendered with Mantra are of particular interest.

Please include information on how Houdini was used when submitting your work. If your image is selected, Side Effects will also require scene files to verify this information.

Please Read Before Submitting

  • Please submiy your best work. Submissions will be reviewed by Side Effects and only high quality images/videos will be chosen for the Houdini Gallery.
  • Only submit images/animations that have been completed. Unfinished work will not be posted.
  • Side Effects will be contacting you before posting your artwork therefore submissions that don't contain your real names and contact information will not be considered.

Submission Guidelines:

  • Please submit all of your artwork to
  • Attach JPEG files to the email or include a link in the body of the email.
  • All images must be high quality JPEG files and preferably a minimum of 1280 pixels wide.
  • Insert a link to your Quicktime movie in the body of the email.
  • All Videos must be in Quicktime format. If possible, please use H.264 to compress your movie.
  • Include your full name, image title, and a brief description of how Houdini was used to create the artwork.

Students

If you are presently attending classes or have recently graduated, send us your work. We are always on the lookout for student projects to add to our Houdini student reel.
