3D Software Developer at Side Effects Software (Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo). Derrick assisted in the production of the feature film The Wild, with on-site programming support for Houdini and contributed to the development of Houdini's dynamics, fur and modeling tools.

Nodes used by the fur tools and discussion of their functions with examples providing a firm understanding of how the tools can be used on a project
Introduction to CVEX VOP context and explore the openness of the fur system by using the CVEX VOP context to create a custom grooming tool
