Toronto Technical Evening: Cloth Simulations
This technical evening will teach you how to create cloth simulations in Houdini. It will take you through the steps of dressing up animated characters with simulated cloth. You will learn how to change the look of the cloth, how to control the cloth using constraints and how to influence the cloth with forces. Some more advanced topics, such as using proxy geometry, integrator settings, point attribute multipliers and SOP-solver setups will be discussed as well. Little to no knowledge of Houdini's dynamics environment (DOPS) is assumed for most of the presentation. Some experience with geometry networks (SOPs) will be helpful.
As always, we'll be providing refreshments. All attendees must register by noon on Thursday, May 31 as we will need to provide our building's security with a copy of our guest list for the evening.
