SIGGRAPH 2012 | Procedural Game Art

This Side Effects Software presentation by Freek Hoekstra on procedural game development was shown at the Houdini Booth at SIGGRAPH 2012 in LA. Freek explores techniques for generating procedural content with a large part devoted to controllable city generation.

Many of the videos shown are in realtime and show the connection between Houdini and the Unity and Unreal game engines. This demo shows the kinds of techniques possible using Houdini's node-based procedural architecture.
