Hi there,
I was curious if anyone uses Mac Leopard OS X Spaces? And if so, and you're reading this forum, i assume you use Houdini

When i'm in a different ‘SPACE’ that isn't using Houdini, and then click the “houdini” icon, that's on my DOCK (be it, the app icon alias, or if houdini is minimized, then the minimized icon), the SPACE does not return to THE SPACE where Houdini is living in.

Example:
4 Spaces: 1 –> WORK, 2 –> Web Pages, 3 –> Messaging, 4 –> File Browser

If say i'm in Space 1 using Houdini, and then I want to look on the web for a minute, so I click my FIREFOX icon in my DOCK, it instantly takes me to SPACE 2 where I have my Firefox browser. Then say I want to go to my instant messenger, I can click the messenger in the DOCK and it will take me to space 3, but if i click HOUDINI icon in my dock, the HOUDINI TOP BAR will popup at the top of my screen: HOUDINI FILE EDIT RENDER WINDOW TAKES HELP however SPACES won't take me to my SPACE 1 where Houdini is… So i'm just curious if anyone else has tried this? And if so, does this happen to u too?

So far my workaround is this:
COMMAND - H, Houdini (to hide it) before switching to another space, then it will work when you click the Houdini Icon in your dock from another SPACE, OR alternatively, if you didn't do that, and you're in another space, CLICK the “Houdini” icon in your dock, it will bring up the “TOP MENU” like i said, and then just click COMMAND - H, and it will HIDE Houdini, and then you can click the Houdini Icon in the dock and it will switch over to that Space as well

Cheers,
Jonathan

hmmm… i'm still on 10.5.8… haven't moved to snow leopard yet due to various “houdini/snow leopard issues”… this “small” thing sounds like a “thumbs up” for snow leopard! is it safe to upgrade to snow leopard in your opinion?

Most of the initial issues with Houdini 10.0 on Snow Leopard have been fixed, and indeed Houdini runs fairly smoothly on my iMac7,1. But, some users still seem to be having issues:
