|
|
Hi all,
I'm new in the forum and about 3 weeks ago I started the study of Houdini because i want to make a VFX reel after about 3 years of generalist in Maya for hobby.
Now this is my first test of a water splash. My goal was to achieve a good mesh and simulation and I didn't care too much about the rendering
Hope you'll like it.

Aside from Chris' funny comment , I like the simulation & render. Just wish it was longer.
Keep up the good work!
Cheers!

btw guys!
do you think houdini is good in water simulation like realflow?
i have seen some good water animations with blender (youtube), i even didnt know blender was so capable of that!
i dont wanna start that childish war between appz, since i even dont have a realflow apprentice version...
but i am really interested in use houdini in future for water simulations! |

This is my new water simulation in Houdini:

I think that Houdini and Realflow are both good, but Houdini requires more settings and study in the way to achieve a good water simulation. |
