H12 mac users Is it worth to install linux ?

I know, I Know.. an Imac is not a workstation and the Radeon HD 5750 1024 MB is not a workstation class graphics card. But I had to revert to h11 on the gl prefs for it not to crash on things like applying materials inside sops.

Would it work better if I instal linux via bootcamp ?

Cheers, congrats for the release, keep adressing the important stuff, but if you find time to make us hd users a bit more happy it would be great

Even though you're not using a workstation graphics card, you should still log a bug for crapping out while applying a material.

I doubt it would work any better with linux on your mac via bootcamp.

Same with me, on MBP I had to switch back to old Houdini viewport because there where just too many artifacts like completely white materials. Thinking about installing Ubuntu also.
