A quick look at the basics of how to create a Digital Asset in Houdini, using in this case the example of a screwthread generator.

NOTE: when you create a digital asset all the workings must be encapsulated in the subnetwork you create. You cannot for example reference an external model, texture etc - that will raise an error when the asset is created.

You can however reference external geometry either by plugging it into one of the inputs of your digital asset, or by referencing it in a parameter of your asset, and using an objectmerge node within the asset to bring it in.

Any chance of updating for the current version of Houdini? The variables don't work and the point sop has been depreciated.
