Houdini 18.5.497 The out of process work item representation in the Python Script TOP will not longer automatically expand $variables in string attributes. The old behavior can be restored by enabling the new "Expand Variables in String Attributes" toggle on the node, which is available when the Python Script TOP is configured to cook out of process. These changes have no effect on Python Script nodes that are running in-process, which have never expanded strings automatically. Mon. February 22, 2021
