Even with the type missing in the drop down, you could still save .obj by explicitly setting the extension.

Houdini 18.5.646 Corrected the 'Shift Axes' parameter on the 'Locomotion' tab of MotionClip Cycle and Sequence so that the X and Z axis buttons are used correctly. Formerly, if the X axis was used, the sequenced MotionClip would be shifted along the Z axis in the scene and vice versa. A SyncNodeVersion script is used to update the parameter in accordance with these changes. Wed. July 21, 2021
