This bug has been fixed in build 21.0.584 and newer. Please upgrade your Houdini build.

As of the Houdini 21.0.559 Production Build, there is a bug with redeeming license entitlements.

Here are some workarounds until this bug is fixed.

Workaround 1

Don't install the licenses to the machine and use SideFX as the license server (login-based licensing)..
Unfortunately this is not an option for Apprentice users as they do not have a license account.

Workaround 2

Downgrade the License Administrator to Houdini 21.0.512.

Workaround 3

Redeem the license entitlements online in your SideFX license portal by navigating to www.sidefx.com/services/licenses.
Click the Redeem License Entitlements button. You may need to add your license server name and server code as generated by the license diagnostic.
Once the licenses have been redeemed (bound to a machine), you may import the .hlic file.

Workaround 4

Email support@sidefx.com to redeem the licenses on your behalf and send you the licenses file to install. This option is for paying customers only.
