Hi, i've searched google and these forums for hawsers but i can't seem to find them .
I have a mac desktop and a headless PC that I access via vnc, can I install two NC licenses and use Hqueue ?
I've tried the windows installer and couldn't get it to work. I've a bit of experience with linux and I'm thinking of setting the PC as a linux box for Hqueue, but I would like to be sure I can use-it first

Hi, I wanted to do this too, and would also buy the second HD license to enable it. However I don't think HQueue is available for non-commercial versions.

Never tried HQueue myself (makes no real sense with only one machine)

Have you cosidered using the render specified frame range with a step of the number of machines you have available for houdini? All you would have to do is save the project files to a network storage where each machine has full read/write access to?

That would not really help for single frame projects but animations could be spread then at least…

would that be an option for you?

OTOH, keep in mind that as soon as there are networks involved being beyond your control you may risk unwanted disclosure…
If you can't script/program it, it's no good at all !
