I've just installed Houdini 7 and after choosing Help from the main menu I see only blank panel with the following URL chrome/houdini/locale/home.html

Could anybody suggest solution?

TIA

If this is a linux version try the following

run the source houdini_setup command in tcsh not bash.

Also you might have to edit it so that it finds java, I found that it was looking for .03 when my install was .05
The trick is finding just the right hammer for every screw

This is a windows version, but how does Houdini look for Java?

In the standard path, like any app looking for java. Have you installed it? If running a recent version of XP, the MS java has been removed, if you can believe that. Try installing it from http://java.sun.com/ [java.sun.com]

Thanks to everybody.

The problem was in the PATH, one of the folders containing .dll was not included. Everything was OK with Java.
