I might try importing the different faces from blender for now since lattice seems a bit hard to use…
Is there a way to fix the amount of points if I don't have the right amount of points in one of the models and the blend shape goes wrong?

read through that thread and look through that file - the lattice in Points mode is not hard to use, and the sodcreateedit workflow will make things much easier down the road.
