Hey,

This is my first post as i've just started on the learning journey and loving it! I'm using Houdini 16, and I can't figure out this probably easy problem.
If I have two meshes merged in the same object, say a sphere and a box, and I apply a rigid body onto it, then a bit of initial velocity, the two objects start interacting and breaking apart. How do I tell them that they are 1 object piece so it acts as 1 mesh, not 2.
Thanks heaps! Probably a tick box somewhere…..

You could try dropping down a Pack node after the Merge. This may make them appear as a single point to DOPs.

Another way is to drop down a ROP Output Driver after the Merge and write the geometry out as .obj file. Then bring that file back into the same SOP network and move the Display flag to the File node. DOPs should only see one mesh at that time.
