Dropping a redshift light in H16 daily build 534 crashes Houdini immediately.
100% reproducable here.

I posted that at Redshift as well.

HDK api change requires a rebuild of their plugin. Redshift are aware, and have stated they will build for the daily build in the next release. Until then, you must use the release build.
