In Jeff Lait's Houdini 15 masterclass loops (vops&sops) tutorial, He shows a keyboard shortcut (x) while hovering over a vop node output to create a visualization node. This is not the case for my installation of houdini 16.0.557. The x hotkey does nothing. Also in Houdini 16 help card for visualize vop node its says “The ‘x’ keyboard shortcut can be used to teleport the visualizer node between different VOP outputs while inspecting a scene.”
this also does not happen for me.
Not only this but if i manually create a visualize node. in a att vop it doesn't do anything. See attachment.

Has this shortcut been removed? why does the visualize node not visualize the noise in the vop context.
Am i missing something here?

hold X and click on the vop output you want to visualize, or in SOPs on the SOP

Hello guys, I'm sorry 5 years later I still don't get it... (well I started learning Houdini 4 months ago.)

Here that guy also uses the hotkey: https://vimeo.com/406959660 [vimeo.com]
It seems he just hits 'X' without clicking anything, but it's so fast I cannot tell for sure.

However I just noticed, when I'm in a VOP network this hotkey actually works. (Usually I don't use VOP at all.) But when I am in a geometry node, it should also work right? I don't even see the eye icon there I just discovered in the VOP node. I don't find any way of where to click or when to hit 'X' to make it work.

So do have any hint for me of what I'm missing here?
