Hi everyone,

I wanted to call attention to a function of the Extrude-old I find missing in the new polyextrude. Basically the ability to assign a curve profile to shape the bevel.

I've used the previous extrude in order to create this tool for a quick and dirty set up for text and shapes for motion graphics:

The tool is open so you can go ahead download it and inspect its content.

I was in the process of updating this tool when I realized that if eventually the old extrude gets deprecated it would be nice to have an alternative. Any suggestions?

Did you try Curve From Second Input option? You have to also increase the Division count or you see no effect.

The second input of the polyextrude is different from the extrude-old. The extrude-old uses the curve to profile the bevel while the polyextrude uses the second input as a rail extrude. Both functions are nice but diferent.
