It seems like every once in a while when I install a new version of Houdini I lose my custom python tools that I have created in the last version. My shelf is still there but my icons will end up defaulted and some buttons have code missing.

Is there a way to recover lost shelf tools in this situation?

This time the loss was on Ubuntu 17.10, but I have also experienced this on Windows as well.
