Workflow 3D integración question

Hi all. It would be great if someone can point me in the right direction.
The thing is that i normally do 3D integrations with live footage in maya. Now i want to combine both softwares, Houdini and maya.
My problem comes when i try to export my object(already textured) from maya to Houdini. If i use alembic everything works fine but i lose all textures. Any solución?? Im using non commercial versión of Houdini.
Should i change to indie versión?? I have read that with Houdini engine is very easy to do this type if things. I have not found the proper workflow between the two softwares yet. Any help would be very appreciate. Thanks in advance
