Hello everyone,

we are doing an “Organic Mass” on a simple sphere, we would like to constrain the base with a “Constrain Points to Target” but when we validate the object everything is fine, the problem is that we can not select the points in the viewport to designate the stress points, how to do?

Hi again Pluneau, not sure if you are still having the problem but I am in 16.5.405

To follow up, if I enable ‘Add surface triangles’ on the source SOP's solid embed node; whilst this breaks the simulation it allows you to select the points when asked to in the target constraint shelf setup. You can then turn it off when you are done to bring it back to life.

A bug I presume and I have reported it to sidefx support.

Cheers,
Rich.

Just discovered this bug when working on FEM simulation. Thought it was my user error, very frustrating. Glad to hear it should be fixed the updated build.

If it was fixed in April 13th's build, it should still be fixed in the latest production build (16.5.473) at https://www.sidefx.com/download/ [www.sidefx.com] or the latest daily build (16.5.475) at https://www.sidefx.com/download/daily-builds/ [www.sidefx.com] Is it still happening in one of those?
Writing code for fun and profit since... 2005? Wow, I'm getting old.

I appreciate you letting me know. Unfortunately I'm only able to get Redshift to work on the 405 build so I'm just using the previously mentioned work around for now.
