ok here is the problem
winxp sp2
had houdini 7 a year ago with a non commercial license
complete uninstalled it with registry clean and all the tricks in the system32 folder and deletion of the /keys/ folder ..
i try to install houdini 8 everything ok
when i run the program it asks for a license.
when the license admin starts it crashes …
any ideas?

I'm having the same problem as well.

Ok i resolved the problem it was nothing more than a Graphic card problem..
i thought it was license stuff but nope..just stupid ATI card problem …
uninstalled the old ATI catalyst drivers with the cat-uninstaller i got from ATI site and then got the new drivers .
everyhting runs ok …

ogl seems a bit jerky but ….i was the one who bought ATI…
