Hi all!

I'm having an issue when I turn my rigged character's head, his whole face contorts instead of staying the same shape and size and turning on an axis like his head should. This is my first time with Houdini Rigging so if anyone could lay out the exact solution to the problem that would help a lot!

Here is my issue:

Edit: Sorry, the picture wasn't working for some reason, should be fixed now!

I don't see the picture either, but I think I know what they mean. The autorig doesn't weight the head very well, so tends to shear the face when rotating the neck or head controllers.

ah - Autorig, yes, the weighting is a bit soft in the head, it's a quick fix to weight those points to the head bone - but the tools can't know just from the mesh how far to weight.

Having a similar issue here… I think it'd be a quick fix but how exactly would you go about doing that?
Other than that the autorig is working great!

Ah! Seems the edit weight tool (go figure)… now the only issue is I can't see the region I'm editing. Seems like a similar issue to the one I have with soft selection- while I can enable it I can't see the soft selection region!
