Hello,

I am all new to Houdini and trying to learn the simple stuff.

But I can't seem to get around one of the most basic stuff : rendering with mantra. Indeed, when I hit render mantra keeps “generating scene” on a black screen, even if the scene is just a sphere + a light.
It works on my other machine, a 2012 iMac but not on my iMac pro with high Sierra :'(

I found some advice about this on the forum (launch from terminal) but it didn't do. Anyone would know what is causing the problem ?

I can't seem to find a solution … Uninstalled, reinstalled … I exported my sim into C4D to render in Arnold … NOT ideal ! :'(

I've been using Houdini and mantra on iMac Pro on various builds of High Sierra without issue. Post the scene if possible.
