Hello;

How could I set the “Playbar Loop mode” , to something like “Play Once”, as default value?

Thanks.

you can set the playbar mode with Hscript in a plain text file named 123.cmd file.

play -1s

http://www.sidefx.com/docs/houdini/commands/play.html [www.sidefx.com]

You put this into a scripts folder, create if needed, inside the Houdini Preferences. i.e. on MacOS ~/Library/Preferences/houdini/16.5/scripts/123.cmd

Just curious. Is the “123.cmd” file a name that Houdini will search for and execute and if so can other set up code go into it? Or is it an arbitrary name and any .cmd file in scripts gets run, so different scripts could have their own file?

Is this still the only way to adjust the default playback looping setting ? Very annoying when you forget to disable looping before running a simulation, so it starts again after it's finished.

One would expect there to be a setting in the preferences by now, but I still can't find it anywhere.

Thanks.
