How can you tell if you're banned from the forums?

Yo, given I tried to post the right way, on the apprentice/indie forum after I actually noticed it, and you guys aren't letting it post, I'm I banned? I make more errors than most people, but I propagate the search through the problem space SUPER fast, and eliminate those errors. (According to military testing, 99th percentile.)

If I am banned, it's ok, that would be a high compliment. The only time any person or organization (and there have been a few) had trouble with me, was when they felt like failures in life themselves. I am a mirror, only a mirror.

I am curious wth I did to be so banned if I am, mostly because of my scientific nature, and that hasn't been beaten out of me, even this late in life by all those that have tried.

Still like your software, and the way it works. Would really have appreciated you guys updating your intro tuts for your updates so I didn't have to go to alternative sources to learn your stuff, because you may not think a node relabel is significant because you know how they all work; the beginners do not.

Stay safe and enjoy the short time we have left before the “robots get us!” – Elon Musk.

Well, it seemed the opposite and I do appreciate your response.

I accidentally posted on the full HoudiniFX forum thread, because between learning Houdini, C4D, Daz3D (I cheat sometimes), Red Giant Trapcode, Keying Suite, BorisFX, Mocha Pro, Plexus, Stardust, relearning Maya and ZBrush, yada yada yada.* I didn't even see the apprentice/indie thread a couple of lines below. When I stress myself, or purposefully saturate my ability to learn, I literally get tunnel vision…but so do most people without noticing it…

The two posts I did do, in the wrong part of the forums, I either figured out myself, or found a workaround, and deleted from the wrong thread, but I was approved FAST, even though I put in the post, that I was an apprentice user. If the moderators said, “Yo, you're in the wrong thread,” I would have immediately corrected the mistake, but they didn't. (At the time, idk if the problems I was having was specific to my type of edition of your program or something else)

Now it's possible, the level of customer support servicing the two types of threads, i.e., full price and hobo/independently poor is substantially different, and the approval times reflect that, but I think I waited two days without an approval in the apprentice forum which I took as just being ghosted.

Either way, your program is horrifyingly complex and so, incredibly interesting to me. I'm just wondering if going through all this effort is worth the benefit for my machinima work, and potentially some freelance work. Doing my music and art therapy is literally the only thing beautiful in my life and it relies on no one else to participate. Well, I may need some voice actors, because no matter what, even using Melodyne, my voice just doesn't sound like a woman's (ain't going to South Korea for the Yeson Voice Center, nty).

It looks like Cinema 4D is constantly copying Houdini, but at the same time, it is actually the reason I came to your program, because I started to do “node based” work in Arnold (and Octane, then it's Xpresso language) for Cinema 4D, which I've noticed you support, (idk if you support Octane, or Redshift, but that would be nice), but C4D is a magnitude simpler to use, imo given all 72 hrs or so using Houdini…

I just started VEX and I'll go deeper into the SOP modeling and start DOP and splash things around to see if the payoff happens, but it looks like losing my giant monitor means I need two monitors, one for the node pane by itself; it seems to get unwieldy very quickly after just a few nodes, e.g., 12 (yes I know how to collapse nodes into networks). Which means I'm completely missing something about the power of the system itself. Remember 2 of the 3 (4?) days I've been playing with this, I had trouble getting it to believe the license was real!

For some reason I REALLY really want to create custom icons for my digital assets I make (yes, I can make digital assets). No good info on the forums or on the internet as a whole, unless opdef::wtf??? is what I need to understand to do so…which would suck.

*I took a two year leave of absence from CGI because I noticed something missing with my work with the images I was making. My film making classes showed me that sound leads the senses, and ffs, I confirmed the master film makers were right. So I learned some DAWs and Music Theory, and composed a little, instead of just playing classical guitar. It was very beautiful to use Kontakt and listen to perfect pitch, perfect attack, EVERY TIME, or use Omnisphere and make soundscapes myself… now there's one string on my very expensive guitar that just makes me cringe it's so out of tune (not many cents, but now my ears can hear it, )

I even had to learn how to draw, because learning first principals, the basics, like learning to draw, teaches you HOW TO SEE what is in front of you, and ffs, it was worth every minute. Scarily, I was as most people still do, just seeing a projection shorthand of what I thought should be there, not WHAT WAS ACTUALLY THERE! yikes… And it's way worse than the implications of this, which everyone falls for: http://www.theinvisiblegorilla.com/gorilla_experiment.html)

@fous (not Vex “@” just @, $Understand?:

Our “lifetimes” already have an expiration date. If you go by Kurzweil, who has a really good prediction rate historically, we have until 2030 (and I think he's off by 2 years, i.e., 2028…or worse given nVidias 2 Peto Flop GPUs advancing at a double exponential rate, 6 years 2024), where we become a nuisance to our creations, or worse, Musk's prediction of all of us getting slaughtered by autonomous war weapons coming down our streets, all of us shocked and surprised, because the “average person can't conceive of such a thing.”

So don't worry, I'm gonna distract myself with doing beautiful things that are as complex as possible, until I don't see a flash, here in NYC, or a group of REALLY fast mechanical Cheetahs come running down the street in a cooperative swarm and rips us all apart.

Fare thee well, and stay safe.
