Hi everyone
having some problems with the new pyro coloring workflow
I'm getting some strange color specs at the beginning of the sim, any idea why this is happening? I've set up a very simple scene using the shelf tools
it also shows up when rendering so its not a viewport thing…
would love to know why this is happening and how to fix it

Did you find a solution for this?

No solution here. Only way I was able to get color inherited from the source was by rolling back to 16.5 and using a different setup. There are other examples in H17 of inheriting color (for example from a collision object), but I haven't seen any inherit color from a source without that spec problem.

Thanks for the reply.
In 16.5, did you source volumes or points?

Here's the hip I found that got it working in 16.5. Hopefully it will work for you too.
