Shader creation and Impostor pipeline

Been running through this tutorial:

My question is I can't figure out how to either:
1.Import my dx11 shader from maya and hook that up in houdini if that is even possible. can't find much info about hooking up a pbr shader from scratch within houdini either.

I can't find much information online on this.
