Houdini doesn't allow to rewrite alembic file

Hi all,
I have a small but very annoying issue with Houdini.
My pipeline is Maya to Houdini.
After finishing animation in Maya I bake it to alembic and then sent to network drive where it is used in Houdini layout.

The problem is I can not rewrite alembic file if Houdini layout is opened on any other computer including mine.

To rewrite alembic I have 2 option - one is to ask everyone to close Houdini, second is to save new version of alembic file and then change ways to alembic bake in layout.
Both are really inconvenient.

I dont have this issue with fbx cache.

Is there a way to allow rewriting alembic cache with the same name?

Save a new file each iteration. It's just good practice anyways.

it's not such a good practice to save different iteration for cache

with 30-40 iterations project size increased dramatically. the good practice in our pipeline is to have maya file iteration and one (last) version of cache

anyways, the question is how to make houdini to allow rewrite alembic (it allows to rewrite fbx for some reason - why not alembic?)

So no ideas guy?)

It is the strangest thing: it is ok to rewrite FBX cache, but not alembic.
Imagine if Maya would restrict to rewrite reference file if it was alembic.

Doesn't this issue have a solution?
