Rigging - Posescope controlling promoted rotations

Heya,
I'm working on my first rig in houdini and I'm trying to use posescope to create “invisible” controls.
I have a null, its rotations are controling a few bones. If I set up a group in posescope to control rotations of this null everything works great - I can grab the geometry with pose tool and the null and bones are rotating as expected.

However if I promote roations of the null up, on the rig HDA, the posescope is not really working anymore. I can still grab the group with pose tool, but the null rotates only in one axis and by very small steps (0.222 etc..)

Is there something I might be doing wrong ? should the rotation control work with posescope even if thr paramaters are promoted ?

Thanks!

it works in this test

if you're still having issues, upload a simple example scene and we can take a look

Thanks Michael!
Your test works, but the posescope is controlling bones rotations there.
When I added a null controller the same issue appears.
here is a modified HDA:

here is an updated hda

be sure that the pose_scope attribute is pointing to the controler's rotations, not the HDA rotation parameter.

Awesome, it works now in my rig too!
I never though of pointing the posescope to those rotations, because they already have expression on them, since they are promoted.

Thanks a lot for your help
