Is there a proper way to do this? I have an object which I melt using a heat source that goes from the top of the object to the bottom making it melt on its way. Problem is I want the particles that are melting to get destroyed after a bit so it doesn't look like a mushroom head. Tried to enable age and reap particles inside my flip solver but not sure what I'm supposed to do after.
I also tried making a torus sink that surrounds my object which I thought would destroy any particles that touched it however it didn't do anything. Or I set something wrong.
I attached my hip file below and would really appreciate it if someone gave me a few ideas on how to do this. Sorry if this is something easy to do. Still new to houdini.
