Bit of a noob flipbook question. On a Mac I've never been able to export a movie from a flipbook(Image Viewer). Export > Movie Export Help. I thought perhaps a Quicktime issue but Quicktime is definitely installed. This is using latest OS 10.13.6 High Sierra. Is this simply a known limitation on a Mac?

It's a limitation of Houdini. What you need to do is export an image sequence (png, jpeg) and then import that into another app like Aftereffects or Premiere and export it as a Quicktime.

For some reason Houdini still doesn't support video containers like Quicktime, AVI, MKV, DNxHD etc.

There's a PDG node for encoding with ffmpeg, so you don't necessarily need an external app to encode movies.
