i have a detail attribute declared outside the for loop (using nodes) and i want to access it while inside the for loop and feed as a parameter inside another node. problem is detail(“../node/”,attribute,0); is not working

Just make sure to set the path in the detail expression to point to the node you want to pick up your attribute from.
