Hello!

Did any of you come across a problem with having multiple hair clump nodes in hair gen causing houdini to crash? I have a rather medium size network with some masking, frizzing etc. and few hair clump nodes. The crashes appear randomly, sometimes right away sometimes after few frames, there is no pattern on which frame crashes it. I check all the nodes in the network and by switching them on and off found out that it was the hair clump. When crashing Houdini is just switching itself off, without any log file or info. I tried with a different PC and the problem is still there. Win 10, Houdini 17.5.225.

I filed a bug report but maybe someone had a similar problem and could help me out.

The bug has been fixed with the Houdini 17.5.238 daily build.
