hi,

i am new to houdini and i have an upcoming project, where i want to use vellum to simulate a paper pile…

the papers should blown away from the pile one after the other and then follow a curve.
i have modeled the pile procedurally (copy on points), and at sop level i made the vellum constraints and vellum solver nodes…
then defined a pop-group with a bounding box to trigger the wind and curve force.
when simulating, the papers will move in clusters and not one after each other…
when visualizing the pop group i can see that only some points of each paper sheet gets the group, ending up in this clustering…

i need something that defines each paper sheet as a whole to the group so it can be triggered single when inside the bbox, but dont know how…
when packing the geometry, then the vellum solver treats each sheet as a point, ending up in a stiff sheet…
also the pop group is not transported down the stream to the gravity force…so i dont know how to use the same boundingbox to trigger also the gravity force…
has someone a hint how to better trigger such a vellum paper pile with a boundingbox or maybe with special attributes?

(cool idea to trigger with the mass attribute…)
