I have an OTL with a multi-line comment >
foo
bla
banana
etc
I'm trying to remove the comments using: otcomment -d Object/myOTL
but it doesn't work
I can add new comments using: “otcomment -d Object/myOTL bar” to get
bar
foo
bla
banana
etc
and then I can remove it with: otcomment -d Object/myOTL to get back to
foo
bla
banana
etc
but can't remove any of the other lines….
ideas? suggestions?
thanks
remove multi-line otcomment?

The different options for otcomment seem to be working for me. Can you post a simple OTL?
The comment is stored in the OTL as a section called “Comment”.
You can try to delete it using otdelete table/type Comment
If the comment is still there its either a bug or some other strangeness.

hmmm..
no
otdelete is for removing HDAs from OTLs
I can't build a new HDA to reproduce the behavior….
I'm trying to delete the comments from an OTL built in H6.X
that might be the issue…..
PS:
it seems that these HDAs don't even HAVE comments according to otcomment in the textport - except the ones that are clearly there when MMB on the node…LOL….
weird

Opps otcontentdelete is what you want…. ops:
Lunch next Tuesday says these “mysterious” comments are old fashion opcomments.

Yeah, I spotted the Version stuff in the contents and saw some commands to query/control it; but I've been wondering what this Version thing is all about. Is there are documentation for it? Did something sneak by? Anyone using it?
Confused,
Jason
