Hi

Im currently experiencing a strange problem when using fluid surface node.
iv attached images to show the problem, essentially i am deleting particles from fluid surface by velocity, then meshing these particles. Although the particles cull correctly, the surfacing seems to use particles that arent present.

as u can see from the images, the surface isnt the same as the particles
btw, this is a cross section of the fluid

Thanks in advance.

Probably because your fluid is compressed, which stores just narrow band of surface particles and anything deeper is represented with sdf volume called “surface”

so what you are seeing are not the particles you deleted, but the part represented with mentioned “surface” sdf volume

Hi Tomas
many thanks for the explanation, so is compressing the fluid standard procedure? its set up like this with the shelf tools, any reasons to use or not to use compressing?
