Terrain HeightMap Material

Hello! I got the height map to import easily from Houdini into UE4 but I can not for the life of me get the materials to carry to UE4. Almost all the tutorials I see only bring in the geo and there's never any material on it. I'm sure it's easy but I'm at a loss, any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Do you happen to be using erosion or other time dependant nodes?
If that's the case, then you should use a timeshift to set the desired frame, as the plugin doesnt change $F.

I've explained this in the docs here [www.sidefx.com].

Another possible thing, is that if your masks/layers are flat (one constant value), unreal will remove them.

thanks for your reply and the link. I should have mentioned I'm importing the HDA into UE4. Is there any steps I'm missing in getting the materials over using the HDA? I can not find a tutorial that shows this step. Thanks again for your help
